  I'd like to give this lovely pub a higher score... it was a welcome find after a 3.5 mile, hilly walk, and I was ready for some substantial sustenance. The menu was tempting and, in fact, whilst I rarely ever choose vegetarian options, I chose two. I had the roasted beef tomato for lunch - very tasty but a tiny portion and incredibly expensive for what it was - and ordered a portion of the borlotti bean and lentil cakes to take home. Another tiny portion. The guy next to me had sausage and mash, which looked more the ticket. I would definitely go again, but would choose differently, or ask for advice about what would be appropriate for my hunger level!

  The food was exceptional (Ribs are amazing)...the staff were super friendly and very attentive. We had two people who were gluten free and nothing was too much trouble. My mum was disabled and they made every effort to help with doors, these are small gestures but it makes a huge difference. We'll be back!
